AussieOilWatch is operated by Rath Engineering Development (ABN 35 687 696 911). Our site address is www.aussieoilwatch.com.

What data we collect

AussieOilWatch does not require user accounts, logins, or personal information to use. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment details through the site.

We may collect the following non-personal data automatically:

• IP address (anonymised where possible)
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited, time on page, and referring URL
• Device type and screen resolution

Third-party scripts and cookies

This policy describes tools that may load on our production deployment. A given build only includes analytics or session tools when those features are configured in environment settings at build time (for example, local development may not load Google Analytics even when the live site does).

Google advertising (AdSense)

We participate in Google AdSense. The site loads Google’s publisher script from Google’s network; Google may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies when that script runs. On builds where ad units are not fully configured, you may still receive the publisher script request; fewer or no ads may be shown. Google Analytics (when enabled)

We use Google Analytics on this deployment to understand aggregate traffic and feature usage. It may set cookies to distinguish sessions. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Microsoft Clarity (when enabled)

We use Microsoft Clarity on this deployment for session insights and heatmaps. Clarity may use cookies or similar storage. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising choices

Fuel prices displayed on AussieOilWatch are sourced from third-party government APIs and may contain inaccuracies, delays, or inconsistencies that are outside our control. Reserve figures are derived from publicly available government publications and are subject to reporting lags. We do not verify individual data points at the source and accept no responsibility for errors, omissions, or discrepancies in data provided by third parties.
